A city in Kanto. Situated near a sea inlet to the south, it contains a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart, and serves as a popular sea port for ships such as the S.S. Anne.
Vermilion City is home to the "Lightning American" Lt. Surge, the Leader of the Electric-type Gym.
The people in the town are careful about pollution, as they're afraid of an infestation of Grimer could occur if the seas were ever polluted.

A sprawling metropolis in the Kanto region. It lies in between Celadon City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City. It is home to Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym Leader.

A large island located off the southern coast of the Kanto region, south of Pallet Town. It is home to a large volcano. Blaine is the resident Gym Leader, specializing in Fire-type Pokémon.

| Seafoam Islands
A pair of islands shaped the same, as if they were twins. The caves beneath the islands are full of twists and turns and have five separate floors.
The Seafoam Islands is the only known roost of the Legendary Pokémon, Articuno. It's located on the very lowest floor of the caverns under the islands.

| Twinleaf Town
Twinleaf Town is a small town with the fresh scent of new leaves in the air.
The town is also near a body of water, named Lake Verity.

Snowpoint is located in the far north of Sinnoh, where low temperatures have created an atmosphere of snow.

| Canalave City (2 sub-boards)
The city's name maybe a portmanteau of the words "canal" and "wave", in accordance to the harbor-city being composed of street canals and the city being distant to open ocean, therefore implying the idea of ocean waves. Canalave City is a port city that is bisected by a canal. It has an air of exotic and foreign culture. Large ships are moored at the piers. In the old days, the port used to be a hub of cargo transportation.

| Floaroma Town
Floaroma Town was once a barren and desolate hill. People started planting flowers around it to cheer up the place, but nothing would grow. Then, someone asked for a blessing of nature, and the whole hill burst into bloom. Is known for its honey and vividly scented flowers that grow everywhere.

| Veilstone City (1 sub-board)
This city is home to the Sinnoh region's department store, Veilstone Department Store. Veilstone is carved out of steep and rocky mountains, giving the city rock walls that project a cold atmosphere. It is fairly isolated and has little contact with other cities.

| Pastoria City (1 sub-board)
It is a city on the edge of a giant swamp, known as the Great Marsh. The marsh was once part of the sea, which drained away over time leaving the marshland. There are rare Pokémon only found in the swamps. The Great Marsh keeps the weather cool in the summertime, making it an ideal town for Water Pokémon. Croagunk is one of the rare Pokémon that can only be found in the swamp, so it is the city's official mascot.

| Hearthome City (1 sub-board)
Hearthome City is home to the Super Contest Hall, where one can take place in the Super Contest. Hearthome City started as a place where people and Pokémon gathered and grew into a center of commerce. There is a church here where different cultures meet. There's also a nice fountain and Sinnoh's branch of the Pokémon Fan Club. It is consistently voted most desirable place to live in the region. There is also Amity Square, where trainers relax with their Pokémon. Many Pokémon wander about the city outside of their Poké Balls. The Poffin House is here, where coordinators can bake Poffin. Hearthome City is a kid-friendly city, and there are many families and young mothers living there. Most of the buildings use elevators instead of stairs so that small children and Pokémon can move through the houses.

| Sunyshore City (1 sub-board)
Sunyshore City is known as a major port town and the gateway to Sinnoh's Pokémon League. It is situated on a narrow spit of land bordered by the sea and the mountains. To make up for the lack of space, the city built solar panels to use for power and roads. There are suspended roads throughout the city that collect solar energy to power the city. Another notable location in the city is an open air market that sells seals to customize Poké Balls. One of the city's famous landmarks is Pokémon Rock, a giant rock resembling a Munchlax in the bay, while another is the nearby Vista Lighthouse. Also notable is the ability to buy Luxury Balls here.

| Celestic Town
It is a tiny town that preserves the history of Sinnoh and the old ways of life, the center of town has a small shrine that dates back to ancient times. It is the smallest town in the entire region. It is also one of the oldest, and some say the town was there since Sinnoh came to be created. There's no Pokémon Mart in the city.

| Solaceon Town
It is a temperate town where people and Pokémon can relax. There was once nothing there but a road, but people and Pokémon gathered and a town formed. Solaceon Town is mostly full of Ranchers and Cowgirls, appearing to be a farming community. There were big Pokémon ranches around the town in the past. Sinnoh's Pokémon Daycare is located here.

| Pokemon League
It is the location of the Sinnoh League, who may be challenged after the defeat of all eight Sinnoh Gym Leaders.
Victory Road, as it is in Kanto and Hoenn, is there, after it is a waterfall that is taller than the smaller one at the city's entrance. The Sinnoh League is magnificently located in a castle, unlike the Leagues in Kanto and Hoenn, which are located in otherwise unspectacular buildings.

If you've chosen to begin your Pokemon journey in the Johto Region then you must begin in New Bark Town. Professor Elm will give you a Starter Pokemon and a Pokedex.

| Blackthorn City (2 sub-boards)
Located in northeast Johto. It is known as "A Quiet Mountain Retreat."
Pokémon Trainers often come to Blackthorn City in order to win the Risingbadge from Clair, the Blackthorn Gym Leader who specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon.
A clan of masters of Dragon-type Pokémon have lived in the city for generations. The masters built the Dragon's Den, a cavern with an underground lake that contains a shrine to Dragon Pokémon, as well as the elders of the Dragon clan. The entrance is located behind the gym, across a small pond, while the main cavern seems to be located underneath the city itself.

| Mahogany Town (1 sub-board)
The northernmost town of Johto. Its motto is "Welcome to the Home of the Ninja!", because of the ninjas that once resided in what eventually became the town's Rocket Hideout.
Pokémon Trainers must come to Mahogany Town in order to win the Glacierbadge from Pryce, the Mahogany Gym Leader who specializes in Ice-type Pokémon.
To the north of the city is the popular Lake of Rage.

Located on the very western tip of Johto, apparently on a totally different landmass than the rest of the region. Its motto is "A Port Surrounded by Rough Seas!"
Pokémon Trainers often come to Cianwood City in order to win the Stormbadge from Chuck, the Cianwood Gym Leader who specializes in Fighting-type Pokémon.
Tales of Lugia and the Whirlpools it creates circulate among the sailors that stop in this port town.

Located on the Johto coast, near Ecruteak City and Cianwood City.
Pokémon Trainers often come to Olivine City in order to win the Mineralbadge from Jasmine, the Olivine Gym Leader who specializes in Steel-type Pokémon.
Olivine is home to the Sparkling Lighthouse, illuminated by an Ampharos, aptly named Amphy.

Located in northern Johto, northeast of National Park, northwest of Violet City, and west of Mt. Mortar. Surrounded by wooded terrain, it contains a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart, and the Ecruteak Gym.
Pokémon Trainers often come to Ecruteak City in order to win the Fogbadge from Morty, the Ecruteak Gym Leader who specializes in Ghost-type Pokémon.
Ecruteak is known as "A Historical City Where the Past Meets the Present", a fitting title, reflected in its buildings' traditional Japanese architecture. It has a role in many legends, such as those of Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-oh.
